As a Landscape Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of landscape projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution. Your role will involve managing client relationships, supervising project teams, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, extensive knowledge of landscaping practices, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, team members, and subcontractors.

Description

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

- Collaborate with clients, landscape designers, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives, scope, and requirements.

- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and material procurement.

- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely availability of resources and materials.

- Obtain necessary permits and approvals as required for project execution.


Budgeting and Cost Management:

- Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for landscape projects.

- Monitor project expenses and track costs to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.

- Identify and manage cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality or client satisfaction.

- Prepare and submit project invoices and progress reports to clients as required.


Team Management and Supervision:

- Lead and supervise project teams, including landscape crews, subcontractors, and other personnel.

- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring their understanding of project goals and safety protocols.

- Provide guidance, training, and support to enhance the skills and performance of team members.

- Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, motivation, and professionalism.


Project Execution and Quality Control:

- Ensure projects are executed according to project plans, specifications, and industry best practices.

- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.

- Address any issues or challenges that arise during project execution and implement appropriate solutions.

- Maintain effective communication with clients, providing project updates and addressing any concerns or issues.


Client Communication and Relations:

- Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

- Regularly communicate with clients to provide project updates, address inquiries, and manage expectations.

- Collaborate with clients and landscape designers to ensure that project specifications and client expectations are met.

- Offer professional advice and recommendations to clients regarding landscaping options, materials, and design choices.


Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, permits, and progress reports.

- Prepare and present project reports to management and other stakeholders, highlighting project status, achievements, and challenges.

- Document lessons learned and implemented process improvements for future projects.


Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Landscape Project Manager or in a similar role within the landscaping industry.

- Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and execute multiple projects simultaneously.

- In-depth knowledge of landscaping practices, including installation, irrigation, hardscaping, and plant care.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to effectively delegate tasks and motivate team members.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, team members, and subcontractors.

- Proven ability to manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure financial targets are met.

- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the landscaping industry.

- Proficiency in project management software and tools.

- Valid driver's license.

- Relevant certifications or licenses in landscaping or project management are preferred.
