As a Landscape Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper care and maintenance of landscapes, ensuring they remain healthy, attractive, and well-maintained. Your expertise in landscape maintenance techniques and practices will contribute to the overall success of our landscaping projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Description
Responsibilities:
1. Perform Landscape Maintenance:
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and trimming lawns to ensure a well-kept appearance.
- Prune and shape trees, shrubs, and hedges for healthy growth and visual appeal.
- Weed garden beds, remove debris, and apply mulch to prevent weed growth and improve plant health.
2. Implement Plant Health Care:
- Identify and address common plant diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Apply necessary treatments like fertilizers, pesticides, and fungicides to maintain plant health.
- Monitor and adjust irrigation systems as needed.
3. Seasonal Planting and Care:
- Assist in planting seasonal flowers, plants, and bulbs to enhance the landscape.
- Prep soil, plant, and care for seasonal plants for optimal growth and color.
- Winterize landscapes by mulching and protecting sensitive plants.
4. Maintain Landscaping Equipment:
- Ensure tools and equipment are well-maintained, cleaned, and stored properly.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
- Report any equipment issues to the supervisor.
5. Adhere to Safety Standards:
- Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE when necessary.
- Operate equipment safely and report any safety hazards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or a related field.
- Knowledge of landscaping plants, horticulture, and maintenance techniques.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and plant care.
- Ability to operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment.
- Physical stamina to work in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license may be required.

Salary
