As a Handyman Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of repair, maintenance, and installation tasks for residential and commercial properties. Your role will involve troubleshooting issues, completing repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle various tasks efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
Performing general repairs and maintenance tasks in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall.
Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues to determine the best course of action for repairs.
Repairing or replacing damaged fixtures, appliances, and equipment.
Conducting routine maintenance checks to identify potential issues and prevent future problems.
Ensuring all repairs are completed to high-quality standards and comply with safety regulations.
Installing and assembling various items, including furniture, fixtures, shelves, and appliances.
Following manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines during installation processes.
Ensuring proper alignment, stability, and functionality of installed items.
Testing and troubleshooting newly installed equipment to ensure proper operation.
Interacting professionally with clients to understand their repair or maintenance needs.
Providing excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely and courteous manner.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area while working on-site.
Communicating effectively with clients to explain repair processes, timelines, and any additional costs if applicable.
Analyzing problems and determining the best solutions for repairs or installations.
Utilizing technical knowledge and skills to troubleshoot issues effectively.
Identifying and recommending improvements to enhance the performance and longevity of systems and equipment.
Maintaining accurate records of completed jobs, including detailed descriptions of work performed and parts used.
Submitting service reports and invoices to clients in a timely manner.
Providing feedback and recommendations to management regarding customer needs, equipment, and materials.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Handyman or in a similar role, performing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks.
Strong technical skills in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall.
Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials commonly used in handyman work.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Customer service-oriented mindset.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects if required.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if needed.
