As a Carpentry Specialist, you will be responsible for handling various carpentry projects, including installations, repairs, and renovations, for residential and commercial properties. Your role will involve working with a variety of materials and tools to create and repair structures, furniture, and fixtures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, excellent craftsmanship skills, and a keen eye for detail.



1. Carpentry Installations and Repairs:

  • Construct, install, and repair structures, furniture, cabinets, shelves, doors, windows, and other wooden fixtures.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of carpentry projects.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials according to project requirements.
  • Install hardware, such as hinges, handles, locks, and knobs, to complete installations.
  • Repair or replace damaged or worn-out wooden structures and fixtures.
  • Ensure all installations and repairs comply with building codes and safety standards.

2. Finish Work:

  • Perform finishing tasks, such as sanding, staining, painting, varnishing, and sealing, to enhance the appearance and durability of completed carpentry projects.
  • Apply finishes to wooden surfaces and ensure a smooth and uniform finish.
  • Use appropriate tools and techniques to achieve desired finishing results.

3. Customization and Modification:

  • Work with clients to understand their carpentry needs and preferences.
  • Provide recommendations and creative solutions for customized carpentry projects.
  • Modify existing structures or fixtures to meet client specifications.

4. Material Selection and Procurement:

  • Select and procure appropriate materials, such as wood, hardware, and other supplies, for each carpentry project.
  • Estimate quantities and costs of materials required for projects.
  • Ensure materials meet quality standards and project specifications.

5. Safety and Risk Management:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of yourself, team members, and clients.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures at all times.
  • Identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.

6. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other team members to ensure successful completion of carpentry projects.
  • Communicate effectively to understand project requirements and provide progress updates.
  • Coordinate with other tradespeople and contractors as necessary.


  • Proven experience as a Carpentry Specialist or in a similar role, with a strong background in carpentry installations, repairs, and finishing work.
  • Excellent knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, materials, and finishes.
  • Proficiency in using a wide range of carpentry tools and equipment.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong craftsmanship skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials accurately.
  • Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations related to carpentry work.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform carpentry tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and working in various environments.
  • Valid driver's license.


$18 - $35 per hour
