What You’ll Do

  • Teleoperation
  • Spend significant hands-on time operating robotic systems directly. Active teleoperation is a core, ongoing part of this role.
  • Maintain proficiency across robotic systems and teleoperation interfaces, including VR, joystick, and control rigs.
  • Set a high standard for task execution and demonstration quality through your own operation.

  • Training & Quality
  • Onboard and train teleoperation operators while establishing consistent standards for task execution, data quality, and reporting.
  • Monitor and evaluate operator performance and demonstration data quality.
  • Support QA processes, data tracking, reporting, and issue investigation.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, training materials, and quality frameworks for teleoperation workflows.
  • Maintain operational trackers, documentation, training outcomes, data quality metrics, and cross-team feedback.

  • Operations & Engineering
  • CoordinationServe as a bridge between operations and engineering teams, surfacing operator feedback and translating engineering guidance into practical operating instructions.
  • Identify patterns in operator errors, edge cases, and system inconsistencies and communicate them with clear, actionable context.
  • Support engineering teams in improving data collection workflows and teleoperation interfaces based on real-world operational insights.

What We’re Looking

  • For2+ years of professional experience in training, QA, technical operations, robotics, or a related technical environment.
  • Technical degree completed or in progress — Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields preferred.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to assess quality and coach others toward consistent execution.
  • Comfortable working with digital tools, technical interfaces, and data-driven workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency during repetitive tasks.
  • Exposure to teleoperation, VR-based gaming, or control systems is a strong plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with teleoperation systems, robotics platforms, or simulation environments.
  • Familiarity with imitation learning or how demonstration data is used to train robotic systems.
  • Competitive gaming, esports, or precision controller experience.
  • Experience with data annotation, QA, or structured data collection.
  • Experience with VR or immersive environments.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup or robotics environment.
