We are in need of a seasoned FT project director to join our UIX design & development team.

This role operates in the capacity of a hybrid combination of project manager and product manager. The products being our client's websites and web products. Therefore, design/UI/UX chops are required. You do not necessarily need to be a designer yourself, but you must be able to direct "good" UI/UX according to the current standards.

You would be responsible for liaising with the client, and the internal design team to oversee and direct the UI and UX as well as the digital strategy (operations/marketing) on each of your projects. You would then work with our internal development team to ensure that designs are executed to pixel perfection, with fluid responsiveness, cross-browser support, etc. Additionally, you would oversee that the strategy for the project is executed in an efficient, organized, and timely manner while ensuring that costs for the project remain within budget and as efficient as they can be.

Additionally, you’ll be a member of our leadership team, an active contributor to our overall business strategy.

The right candidate would embody the following hard and soft skills:

• UI/UX and design chops i.e. an intuitive understanding of, and eye for, "good" design
• Design process management (management of these processes between the design team and client)
• Stakeholder interviews
• UI/UX storyboarding
• Mood boarding
• Wireframing
• Prototyping
• Marketing chops (able to intelligently consult with clients on marketing-related decisions and provide guidance on marketing architecture)
• Excellent client relations
• Team management
• Project management
• Project management software
• Work scheduling
• Task triage
• Support triage
• Strategic input for business planning and team leadership
• Business intelligence (able to suggest improvements to workflows and contribute to overall company success)
• Emotional intelligence (able to maintain positive and valuable relationships with both clients and team members)
• Copywriting
• Hiring experience a plus
• Basic understanding of current web languages and architecture are a plus (Angular, React, Vue, PHP, HTML, CSS, etc)
• Familiarity with current CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, Magento, etc)
• Figma
• Asana (or equivalent)

The right candidate would possess the following experience:

• 2+ years of project or product management experience (freelance/solopreneurship counts here)
• 2+ years of client relations experience (freelance/solopreneurship counts here)
• Prior experience working with design in some capacity
