Our program offers nutritious and fresh meals daily to all children in attendance, and has a focus on the outdoors, nature, and gardening. Quality Child Care is seeking a caring, dedicated, and energetic Teacher to join our professional team. Our teachers are expected to actively engage with the children and create a positive and inviting classroom environment. We believe in using positive redirection to address challenging behaviors and foster a supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

- Provide daily care and supervision for children during indoor and outdoor activities

- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment for children and families

- Build positive and respectful relationships with children and families

- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans based on assessments

- Follow a schedule that supports individual and group activities

- Encourage parent participation and provide family engagement activities

- Maintain attendance records

- Assist with housekeeping and cleaning tasks

- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality

- Collaborate with administrators to meet program needs

- Work closely with co-teachers and teammates

- Attend required trainings and staff meetings

Education & Experience:

- NC Early Childhood Credentials (edu-119) or equivalent required

- Associate's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred

- Minimum of 2 years of childcare experience in a licensed setting

- Infant, child, and adult CPR & First Aid certification

- Negative TB test and staff health assessment required

- NC Criminal Records Qualification Letter required

- Strong written and oral communication skills

- Reliable and punctual

- Ability to stand and interact with children for extended periods

- Positive attitude and ability to actively engage with children

- Passion for children, early education, and child development
