What You Do:
- Source, negotiate, and secure carriers to move freight across various lanes and regions for our customers.
- Develop and maintain lasting relationships with carrier partners to ensure dependable capacity and top tier service.
- Negotiate competitive rates while maintaining profitability and service quality.
- Expand our carrier network by identifying, qualifying, and onboarding new carrier partners.
- Ensure all carriers meet compliance and safety standards, including insurance and performance requirements.
- Track shipments proactively and communicate updates to internal teams.
- Coordinate with sales and operations teams to resolve any delivery or service issues.
What You Have:
- 2 - 3+ years of experience in a carrier sales role in a third party logistics or supply chain environment.
- Proficiency with logistics software such as TMS (Transportation Management Systems), DAT, Carrier 411, etc.
- Strong negotiation skills and proven experience securing reliable capacity.
- Proactive communication skills with excellent problem solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to handle multiple loads at once.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to work on a remote team.
- Knowledge of freight, shipping methods, and supply chain processes.
