The Marketing Manager will work to generate affinity for Psychedelics Today and its partners through compelling content, captivating messaging and exceptional community stewardship across the Psychedelics Today digital ecosystem.

Mandate: Reporting in to the CEO, the Marketing Manager will develop, implement and execute marketing plans to promote Psychedelics Today as the planetary leader in psychedelics media, education and events. Working closely with department heads, the Marketing Manager will work to generate affinity for Psychedelics Today and its partners through compelling content, captivating messaging and exceptional community stewardship across the Psychedelics Today digital ecosystem.

 

Brand Marketing:

 

·        Creative and tactical leadership of regular campaigns promoting Psychedelics Today events, storytelling and initiatives.

·        Following our house Brand Book, designing day-to-day assets for social media, event platforms and the web, promoting Psychedelics Today and fostering an authentic brand experience.

·        Writing social media captions, event descriptions and other pieces of supporting marketing copy required across multiple touchpoints.

·        Writing pre-roll advertisement scripts for the Psychedelics Today Podcast.

·        Supporting promotional communications in an email marketing platform, assisting with copywriting for branded emails and newsletters where required.

·        Supporting the commissioning of physical Psychedelics Today merchandise.

·        Liaising with outside partners, supplying branded materials and content to promote the Psychedelics Today brand in partnered projects and at partnered events.

·        Ownership over the Psychedelics Today Brand Book and Media Kit, ensuring it is up-to-date, and that brand standards are upheld across the entire Psychedelics Today ecosystem and beyond.

 

Marketing Services Lead:

 

·        Working closely with the Director of Sales and Strategic Partnerships, owning the tactical execution of marketing services, ensuring that partner obligations are fulfilled.

·        Maintaining a Marketing Services deliverable schedule and ensuring timely execution of sponsored assets across social, web, email, blog, pre-roll ads, podcasts and webinars and events.

·        Ensuring sponsored assets meet Psychedelics Today brand standards, designing or working with a third-party designer to make sure assets look incredible.

 

Community Engagement: 

 

·        Own and execute Psychedelics Today social media strategy across all platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok and YouTube.

·        Maintain a content calendar, working closely with heads of Editorial, Education and Events to ensure content from all points of business are plotted and posted to schedule.

·        Engage with community across all social media platforms. Following, liking, commenting and responding to messages daily; an extension of the customer service team, directing followers to the appropriate department where necessary.

·        Facilitating IG/FB Live events for the team where necessary.

·        Reporting to leadership on any noteworthy social trends or competitive trends observed, using observations to explore new platforms and to adapt content strategy from platform-to-platform.

·        Working closely with the Director of Corporate Communications, report on audience growth and participate in regular audience audits.

 

Requirements:

 

-         An intermediate level understanding of brand marketing, and 3-4 years of experience in a similar role.

-         The ability to design assets following brand guidelines. Design proficiency in Canva required; Adobe Creative Suite skills would be considered an asset. Agency support will be available for some design-based projects, where required. 

-         Exceptional demonstrated writing skills. Demonstrated ability to write for online communities and ability to follow brand voice and style guidelines in writing.

-         Exceptional organizational skills, with proven experience in project management software, like Monday.

-         Demonstrated ability in social media management, and experience with software like Hootsuite, Socialbee, etc.

-         Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced digital working environment and conduct day-to-day work independently. Start-up experience considered an asset.

-         Interest in psychedelics and previous work or education in the field (or related fields) strongly preferred.  

 

This role is completely remote, working from your home office up to 40 hours per week. Renumeration is paid at a flat hourly rate, negotiable based on experience. 

Salary

$30 - $40 per hour
