Senior or Staff-level engineer to develop the RF test and characterization capabilities in Santa Barbara, CA. We are looking for a team member comfortable with a start-up environment to support rapid growth of the company towards high throughput prototyping and product manufacturing of PseudolithIC’s proprietary heterogeneous integration technology.

Description

The RF characterization engineer would be responsible for 1) validating RF device technologies at the transistor level and supporting modeling, 2) developing test methodologies for PseudolithIC RFICs including reliability characterization, and 3) support statistical studies of measurement data and flow-back results to the manufacturing or engineering teams. A successful candidate will be proficient with managing a variety of RF characterization procedures and producing clear documentation of the outputs. 


Requirements

• Advanced degree in electrical engineering (MSEE or PhD), materials science, or related field

• 10+ years of experience in RF/microwave test and characterization of compound semiconductors and/or silicon integrated circuits. Frequency ranges between 1 and 100 GHz are part of test portfolio

• Understanding of semiconductor physics in devices and failure mechanisms that impact yield and reliability at the device, die, and packaging level.

• Demonstrated experience to test and characterize large-signal behavior of devices through tools such as RF load and/or source pull.

• Development of RF models for transistor from small or large-signal measurement.

• Uncertainty analysis of RF and millimeter-wave characterization and knowledge of test equipment operation.

• Excellent verbal and written communication

• Experience with statistical analysis methods for yield, failure, and reliability reporting

 

Duties

The role will support the development of PseudolithIC products to monitor and characterize device performance, circuit measurements, and package reliability in a joint manufacturing-engineering team based in Santa Barbara. The team member will be expected to document results and drive improvements in the manufacturing and RFIC design. The team member will be responsible for weekly reporting.
