PseudolithIC, Inc is a rapidly-growing semiconductor start-up company based in Santa Barbara, CA pioneering heterogeneous integration. The position would be responsible for the layout of radio-frequency and millimeter-wave semiconductor integrated circuits and work with the design team. Capture of design for both compound semiconductor and silicon technologies including both chips and package is targeted. We are looking for a team member comfortable with a start-up environment.

Qualifications

·        Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso EDA environment

·        Physical verification for silicon and compound semiconductor technologies including DRC and LVS using Cadence and/or Calibre tools

·        Experience with MMIC layout and Keysight ADS is desirable

·        Scripting for EDA is preferred (Skill, Perl, Python)

·        Excellent communication skills and detail-oriented focus

·        3+ years of industry experience

·        HS Diploma/GED or BS in electrical engineering or related background preferred

 

The RFIC Layout Engineer will be responsible for layout-related design tasks and foundry tapeout preparation in PseudolithIC's heterogeneous integration platform based on a combination of silicon and compound semiconductor devices.  The RFIC Layout Engineer will work collaboratively within the Design Group to develop high-performance RFIC circuits. The physical design scope would require taking initial inputs from the RFIC Design Engineer and generate a layout of an integrated circuit block. The layout engineer will prepare submission of reticles in silicon and compound semiconductor processes and handle sign-off of tapeouts. Additionally, the team member would ideally develop custom SKILL scripts or modifications of DRC or LVS. The team member will work closely with the manufacturing team and other stakeholders. Successful candidates will thrive in a hands-on, independent role and can offer leadership. The position seeks veteran candidates who can adapt to management roles.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Salary (+bonus) is dependent on experience of the candidate. We offer health benefits and 401K.

Salary

$60,000 - $140,000 per year
