Job Overview: 

 

Our Tax Managers lead tax engagements for multiple clients. They work with a range of businesses and entrepreneurs, communicating regularly to ensure they are taken care of and positioned for ultimate financial success. Our focus is on building strong relationships with our clients and becoming their go-to accounting advisor.

Responsibilities: 

 

• Delivering high quality tax compliance and consulting services to our growing client base 
• Managing the preparation and delivery of quarterly tax projections and ad hoc client requests 
• Facilitating and managing the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns and the accurate, timely submission of all tax filings 
• Finding and implementing opportunities for process improvement in our firm tax procedures 
• Delighting our customers with expert guidance and support 
• Available to work between the normal business day (ex. 9am to 5pm) so that you can be responsive to customers' requests. Flexible work hours are available upon request 

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

 

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Tax 
• CPA or CPA candidate 
• 6+ years working in public accounting 
• Experience working in a client-facing role, communicating with business leaders via email, phone, and video calls 
• High degree of comfort with technology and remote work environment 
• Ability to learn new online software and comfortable using technology in general, including video chat software, email, spreadsheets, Microsoft apps, etc.  
• Ability to operate independently with minimal daily direction from firm leaders 
• Ability to coach and train associates 

 

Nice to Have Qualifications: 

 

• At least one year using CCH Axcess 
• At least one year using SafeSend Suite 
• Prior experience working with small medium sized businesses, entrepreneurs, startups, family offices, and the individual owners 
• 1 year of remote work experience  
• Bilingual – Fluency in English and Spanish
