The Role
As an Iron Worker Instructor (NCCER), you will provide remote instruction to students pursuing careers in ironworking. You will leverage your expertise to develop course materials, deliver engaging lessons, and assess student performance. Your goal is to ensure students gain the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the ironworking field.
What You'll Do
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that align with NCCER standards.
- Facilitate remote learning sessions using digital tools and platforms.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments and exams.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students to enhance their learning experience.
- Collaborate with other instructors to improve curriculum and teaching methods.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure course relevance.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in ironworking with a strong understanding of industry standards.
- NCCER certification as an instructor or willingness to obtain certification.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to engage and motivate students in a remote learning environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Nice to Have
- Experience in teaching or training, particularly in a virtual setting.
- Familiarity with digital learning tools and platforms.
- Additional certifications related to ironworking or construction.
