As a Program Manager at Project Scientist, you will be part of a team reshaping how girls perceive the world of STEAM and what it means to be a scientist. You will be inspired to produce innovative work while collaborating with outstanding individuals.

The Role:

  • Collaborate with a high-performing programs team to plan and execute logistics for local programming, ensuring they align with Project Scientist's model
  • Work with educators to execute program requirements and stay informed about funder requirements
  • Collaborate and communicate with community partners, employees, and volunteers
  • Share feedback from teachers with the Regional Director and take action to implement changes that ensure the intended impact
  • Support outreach for Programs
  • Ensure timely survey delivery data collection and completion for Program Evaluation as needed
  • Manage logistics for STEAM Club, STEAM Lab, Scholars, and STEAM sessions
  • Manage teacher coverage, providing support when needed
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director to ensure positive outcomes in the region
  • Be familiar with student populations served via programs
  • Share feedback with program staff and act as a coach to Scholars, Lab, and local staff (teachers)
  • Attend SciGirls training as offered and ensure best practices for Scholars' virtual/hybrid environment
  • Facilitate parent and teacher engagement in communities

Skills You Will Need Here 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math Education, Science Education, or a closely related field
  • Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to adapt and work well under pressure in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
  • STEM teaching or leadership experience preferred
  • Ability to collaborate and support STEAM Club program teachers, Scholars program teachers, and STEAM lab teachers
  • Ability to gather data and generate reports
  • Experience with Salesforce and project management software use
  • Ability to work within a team, independently, and virtually
  • A commitment to helping underrepresented youth grow, learn, and connect to STEAM
  • Ability to work remotely and connect with and encourage youth ages 4-24
  • Ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to engage with teachers, parents, students, alumni, and facility managers
  • May teach or support teachers
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (U.S. and Mexico)
  • Ability to use company-provided Apple/Mac Laptop
