The Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the print shop's daily operations, including production, quality control, customer service, and sales growth. Description

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the print shop, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
  • Manage production schedules and prioritize jobs to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
  • Maintain and optimize equipment performance, scheduling maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels of supplies and materials, placing orders as necessary.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and provide clear instructions and feedback to team members.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Resolve employee conflicts and address performance issues promptly and professionally.
  • Customer Service & Sales:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and concerns, providing exceptional service and resolving issues effectively.
  • Manage customer orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to expand business and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Provide accurate quotes to customers.
  • Proactively seek and develop new sales opportunities to increase revenue.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
  • Network with potential clients and build relationships to generate leads.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and presentations.
  • Track and report on sales performance.
  • Quality Control:
  • Ensure all printed materials meet the highest quality standards, conducting thorough inspections and implementing quality control measures.
  • Troubleshoot printing problems and implement solutions to minimize errors and waste.
  • Maintain accurate records of production and quality control data.
  • Financial Management:
  • Monitor and control expenses, ensuring the print shop operates within budget.
  • Generate reports on production, sales, and expenses, providing insights to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Help with pricing and quoting jobs.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in print management or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of printing processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and sales skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology, including design and printing software.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or degrees preferred.
