PriCare Health is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. We provide primary care, acute care, preventive services, laboratory testing, injections, wellness services, and other outpatient treatments in a welcoming and patient-focused environment.
The ideal candidate is organized, professional, comfortable working in a fast-paced clinic, and able to provide excellent service to patients from a variety of backgrounds.
Primary Responsibilities
- Greet patients and assist with the check-in and check-out process
- Obtain and document vital signs, medication lists, allergies, and medical histories
- Prepare patients and examination rooms for appointments
- Assist the provider with examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Perform blood draws, specimen collection, urine testing, and point-of-care testing
- Administer injections and vaccines under the direction of the provider
- Perform EKGs, ear lavages, nebulizer treatments, wound care, and other clinical duties as trained
- Process laboratory orders, referrals, medication requests, and patient messages
- Schedule appointments and answer incoming telephone calls
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
- Clean, disinfect, and restock examination rooms
- Monitor medical supplies and notify management when supplies need to be ordered
- Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and clinic safety requirements
- Support daily front-office and administrative operations as needed
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification or diploma preferred
- Previous experience in primary care, urgent care, family medicine, or an outpatient clinic preferred
- Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred
- Current BLS certification preferred
- Strong communication, customer-service, and organizational skills
- Comfortable using electronic medical records and general office technology
- Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Must maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate sound professional judgment
Schedule
- Monday through Thursday: approximately 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
- Friday: virtual, administrative, or clinic-support duties as scheduled
- Some schedule flexibility may be required based on patient volume and clinic needs
Compensation and Benefits
- Up to $22.00 per hour
- Full-time position
- Two weeks of paid time off after successful completion of the first 90 days
