Description

PriCare Health is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing healthcare team. We provide primary care, acute care, preventive services, laboratory testing, injections, wellness services, and other outpatient treatments in a welcoming and patient-focused environment.

The ideal candidate is organized, professional, comfortable working in a fast-paced clinic, and able to provide excellent service to patients from a variety of backgrounds.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and assist with the check-in and check-out process
  • Obtain and document vital signs, medication lists, allergies, and medical histories
  • Prepare patients and examination rooms for appointments
  • Assist the provider with examinations, procedures, and treatments
  • Perform blood draws, specimen collection, urine testing, and point-of-care testing
  • Administer injections and vaccines under the direction of the provider
  • Perform EKGs, ear lavages, nebulizer treatments, wound care, and other clinical duties as trained
  • Process laboratory orders, referrals, medication requests, and patient messages
  • Schedule appointments and answer incoming telephone calls
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Clean, disinfect, and restock examination rooms
  • Monitor medical supplies and notify management when supplies need to be ordered
  • Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and clinic safety requirements
  • Support daily front-office and administrative operations as needed

Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant certification or diploma preferred
  • Previous experience in primary care, urgent care, family medicine, or an outpatient clinic preferred
  • Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred
  • Current BLS certification preferred
  • Strong communication, customer-service, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable using electronic medical records and general office technology
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
  • Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
  • Must maintain patient confidentiality and demonstrate sound professional judgment

Schedule

  • Monday through Thursday: approximately 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
  • Friday: virtual, administrative, or clinic-support duties as scheduled
  • Some schedule flexibility may be required based on patient volume and clinic needs

Compensation and Benefits

  • Up to $22.00 per hour
  • Full-time position
  • Two weeks of paid time off after successful completion of the first 90 days
