We are looking for an experienced and passionate developer to join our team. This position works directly under our Lead Developer to design, develop and maintain our serverless applications, database storage and APIs.


This role will also work closely with other senior developers, project managers and other in-house stakeholders to design and implement new product features to continuously improve and evolve our core products. Although this position will have some oversight of AWS/cloud architecture, we are primarily looking for someone well versed in application development and programming on AWS serverless technologies.


Responsibilities for this Role

  • Plan, design and implement software features using AWS technologies such as Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB and SQS.
  • Work with other senior level developers to help design and implement product features using microservices, serverless technology and modern DevOps practices.
  • Participate and take ownership in advancing the architecture and technologies used to scale and improve our products.
  • Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
  • Work collaboratively and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical staff about our software products, new features and our product roadmap.


Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years designing and developing serverless applications on AWS.
  • 2+ years using Node.js and/or Python in Lambda functions or other applications
  • Well versed in the following: AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, REST based APIs
  • A desire to learn and grow in a fast growing startup environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a closely related computer technical field or commensurate experience and training.


Good to Have


  • Experience working in health technology, EMRs or medical EDI.
  • Exposure to C# and the .NET platform.
  • Knowing your way around Node.js as well as Python

Salary

$90,000 - $120,000 per year
