Job Title: Medical Office Front Desk Receptionist

Location: Mckinney, TX

Department: Front Office


Position Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and proactive Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at Premier Pulmonary and Sleep. The ideal candidate will have a pleasant personality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations and providing exceptional service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Interaction & Communication
  • Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival.
  • Answer multi-line phones, direct calls, and take messages accurately.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming environment.
  • Scheduling & Coordination
  • Schedule appointments for consultations, follow-ups, and procedures.
  • Confirm appointments and manage cancellations or rescheduling.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure timely patient flow.
  • Insurance & Financial Duties
  • Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
  • Accurately post payments and provide receipts.
  • Medical Orders & Equipment Coordination
  • Send and track orders for medical equipment (e.g., oxygen, CPAP, BiPAP).
  • Follow up with DME (Durable Medical Equipment) companies to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Communicate with patients regarding order status and delivery.
  • Team Collaboration
  • Act as a liaison between front office, clinical staff, and external vendors.
  • Lead by example and support team members to ensure office efficiency.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional medical office training is a plus.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a medical office or similar healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of insurance verification, co-pay collection, and medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Fulltime Hours Monday to Thursday 830 AM to 430 PM

Friday 9AM to 2PM


Part-time hours 8AM- 430PM Monday to Thursday


Pay highly dependent on experience.
