Our patient population is vast and we see patients for asthma, COPD, allergic rhinitis, Pulmonary fibrosis, Pulmonary hypertension, ILD, Chronic cough , Alph 1 AT deficiency, Restrictive lung disease, Bronchiectasis, Recurrent pneumonia, Asbestosis, Neuromuscular disorders leading to poor airway clearance, Sleep apnea and all other spectrum of Pulmonary and Sleep disorders

Premier Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant and Scribe to join our team on a full-time basis.

**Job Overview:**

As a Medical Assistant and Scribe, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for assisting with clinical tasks, documenting patient encounters, and ensuring accurate and timely medical records.

**Responsibilities:**

- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures

- Document patient histories, symptoms, and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record system

- Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up care as needed

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality

- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient care

-Perform Pulmonary Function testing and 6 minute walk test

-Keep track of office inventory

-Help with check in and check out when needed

-Perform Skin allergy test

-Inject immunotherapy SC and bill

-Inject Biologics SC and bill

-Phlebotomy experience is a plus

-Radiology experience is a plus

-Proactive learner

-E clinical works (ECW) EMR experience

-Perform pulmonary function test and walk tests once trained

-Check in and check out patients

-Works on Pools D and T to help with patient needs

-Be a proactive team player

-We are not a training institution and are a very busy practice and if you are someone who needs a lot of hand holding this is not the job for you.

**Requirements:**

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Completion of a medical assisting program or equivalent experience

- Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Proficiency with electronic health record systems

- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients

- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team

SCHEDULE:

Monday to Thursday 8 am to 5 pm.

Friday 8am to 2pm

Part-time hours from 8:30am to 3:30 pm

PAY:

Competitive varies depending on experience
