Full Stack AI Engineer

Role Summary

You'll join the core engineering team and build across the full stack: infrastructure, backend, web and iOS. You should be comfortable with prompt engineering and LLM evaluation, since both are part of shipping features on this platform.

Key Responsibilities 

• Build Python services and APIs for sessions, personas, users and scoring
• Ship features in the web app and the native iOS app
• Own Kubernetes infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, logging and monitoring
• Wire in LLMs and voice providers, with every model call logged for cost, latency and quality
• Build audit logging, role based access, tenant isolation and SSO for regulated customers
• Use AI coding tools as part of daily development
• Partner with product, design and the AI team

Required Qualifications 

• 5+ years building and shipping production software
• Production experience across backend, frontend and infrastructure
• Strong Python, plus TypeScript and a modern web framework
• Working experience with Swift and iOS development
• SQL and NoSQL database design
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and at least one major cloud (AWS preferred)
• Identity and access standards, including OAuth, OpenID Connect and SAML
• Built and shipped at least one LLM powered feature to production
• Comfortable making design decisions with minimal guidance
• Strong testing and documentation habits

Preferred Qualifications 

• Pharma, life sciences, healthcare, banking or another regulated industry
• Products built under SOC 2, ISO 27001 or HIPAA
• Realtime voice work (WebRTC, Deepgram, ElevenLabs or similar)
• RAG, hybrid search or LLM evaluation
• Apple's on device Foundation Models

Compensation, Benefits & Additional Notes

• Salary Range: $160,000 - $200,000 (based on experience and background)

Regulated Data & Compliance Training 

This role involves working with regulated data and healthcare-related information. Successful candidates will be required to complete HIPAA and life sciences compliance training, and will be expected to maintain compliance with all applicable regulations governing protected health information and regulated content.
