Product Manager for SaaS (utility industry experience a plus)

About Powering a sustainable future.

Brillion is redefining how utilities engage with their customers. Our SaaS solutions help utilities deliver personalized communication, automated program workflows, and create seamless customer experiences that drive participation, trust and measurable results. By turning every interaction into an opportunity for collaboration, we help utilities achieve their operational and program goals more effectively.

Description

As a fully remote Product Manager, you’ll own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for one Brillion product line, working closely with engineering, design, customer success, and go-tomarket. You'll be accountable for outcomes on your product (adoption, customer expansion, competitive win rate) and expected to think across the full portfolio, because our customers don't experience our products in isolation and neither should our Product Managers. This is a high-judgment Individual Contributor role. You won't manage other Product Managers, but you will set direction for a meaningful segment of the business, brief senior leadership, and represent your product to customers, partners, and analysts.

Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own the roadmap for your product line, grounded in customer outcomes rather than feature checklists
  • Partner with engineering and design to ship products that are well-scoped, and with a clear definition of done
  • Develop a sharp point of view on where AI belongs in your product taking into consideration the regulated, trust-sensitive nature of utility customer communications
  • Use AI tooling fluently in your own workflow to move faster; prototyping, research synthesis, customer artifacts, competitive analysis, and automation
  • Spend real time with customers: shadow utility marketing and customer operations teams, sit in on implementation calls, and turn what you learn into product direction
  • Connect the dots across the portfolio.  Understand the impact of changes in your product line and educate stakeholders throughout the organization on how those changes affect the rest of the product suite.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Required

  • 3-5 years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, ideally in an enterprise level environment (long sales cycles, multi-stakeholder buying, RFP exposure)
  • Ability to thrive in a regulated, technically complex domain.  You don't need utility experience, but you need to show how you've ramped fast before
  • Demonstrated fluent use of AI tools in your day-to-day work (prototyping, research, writing, analysis, and automation)
  • A real point of view on AI's role in customer-facing products: where it creates value, where it creates risk, and how to tell the difference
  • Outcome-oriented product thinking: you write and reason in outcomes ("reduce billing-related call volume by X") rather than features
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable briefing executives and presenting to customers
  • Willingness to travel for customer visits, industry events, and team gatherings (~15%)

Strongly preferred

  • Exposure to utilities, energy, or another regulated B2B2C domain (healthcare, financial services, telecom)
  • Experience working across a product portfolio rather than a single isolated product
  • Familiarity with customer engagement, marketing automation, or CDP categories

Desirable but not required

  • Background in AI/ML product work
  • Experience in a company going through competitive consolidation or platform transition
  • Prior consulting, customer success, or solutions engineering experience that sharpened your customer instincts

Salary

$140,000 - $160,000 per year
