Pow.bio is building intelligent fermentation solutions to advance the biomanufacturing revolution. We are a small team developing next-generation bioprocessing to change scale-up forever. We’re looking for a detail-oriented Lab Technician to join our team on a fixed-term contract through November 2025, with the potential for extension based on business needs and performance. Description

Your responsibilities: 

  • Make media solutions for a variety of fermentation projects
  • This includes following batch records as well as several types of sterilization
  • Clean and autoclave glassware
  • Routine lab cleaning
  • Prepare tubing kits and bottles
  • Communicate with RAs, Fermentation Managers, and Scientists to ensure proper formulations
  • Work with Lab Manager to preemptively order chemicals to keep deadlines

Required qualifications:

  • Strong organization and time-management skills with an attention to detail. Especially around record keeping
  • Ability to use lab equipment such as pH probes, balances, stir plates
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs.
  • H.S. Diploma or higher

Desired skills:

  • At least 1 year of Lab experience required,  2+ years of Lab experience preferred
  • Understanding of chemicals and their interactions
  • Ability to operate lab equipment
  • Pipetting experience 
  • Aseptic technique experience


This position is a full time, temporary position, Tuesday - Saturday from 10:00am-6:30pm with a 30 min lunch & flexible start times after a 60 day training period. The expected hiring range for this position is $27 to $31 an hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
