About the Role

The Production Assistant Manager supports the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient team management. This role works closely with the Production Manager, Team Leads, and other departments to communicate operational needs, adjust schedules, and provide ongoing support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain manufacturing work orders using Katana MRP to track product consumption and manufacturing tasks
  • Oversee the mixing of flavor buckets to support daily production needs
  • Track daily production contributions and ensure accurate reporting
  • Monitor and track manufacturing errors
  • Perform quality checks on products and maintain organized product samples
  • Communicate employee call-outs to the Production Team and Production Manager
  • Manage Team Leads, conduct weekly check-ins, and collaborate to align on production goals and priorities
  • Adjust the production schedule when employees are absent and manage the weekly chore chart
  • Partner with the Inventory Team to track flavor usage and availability
  • Plan daily vat preparation and share details with Team Leads
  • Participate in production interviews and attend biweekly manager meetings
  • Help maintain and enforce daily and weekly cleaning tasks
  • Ensure all finished products meet expected quality standards
  • Support the Production Manager as needed and ensure smooth team operations

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in production or manufacturing roles
  • Proficiency in Katana MRP or similar production/inventory software
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and mentorship
  • Experience managing schedules and adjusting workflow as needed


Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a production or assistant management role
  • Familiarity with production floor operations and team dynamics
  • Experience with work order management and inventory planning
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills
  • Previous experience in training and onboarding new team members


Salary

$37,400 - $45,760 per year
