After each visit, we provide updates and photos, including confirmation that your gate is securely latched if you have one, so you can have complete peace of mind. Beyond waste removal, we even take care of your dog’s toys, leaving their playground spotless and ready for play. As an added layer of care, we act as the eyes for your dog’s health, notifying you immediately if we notice anything abnormal in their waste that may require attention.

Canine Cleanup Specialist (Team-Based Outdoor Role)

About the Role

As a Canine Cleanup Specialist, you'll work alongside a teammate each day to service a scheduled route of residential properties. You'll remove dog waste, follow our structured service procedures, and document each visit using our mobile app.

Because you'll spend much of your day working alongside the same teammate, strong communication, reliability, and mutual respect are essential to success.

This is a physically active, outdoor position that requires attention to detail, personal accountability, and a commitment to doing quality work every day.

Schedule & Availability

• Approximately four weekdays per week
• Typical hours are approximately 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Consistent availability during scheduled weekday shifts is required
• This position is ideal for someone looking for a dependable daytime schedule with evenings and weekends generally free

Key Responsibilities

Thorough Yard Cleanup

• Perform detailed dog waste removal using our structured grid pattern
• Check all areas of each property to ensure nothing is missed
• Leave every yard clean, safe, and ready for families and pets to enjoy

Sanitation & Safety

• Follow all sanitation and safety procedures
• Properly clean and handle equipment
• Maintain a clean, professional work environment for clients, teammates, and yourself

Teamwork

• Work closely with your teammate throughout the day
• Communicate effectively and respectfully
• Help one another stay efficient while maintaining quality
• Support your teammate when needed

Route Execution

• Follow a pre-planned daily route
• Safely operate a company vehicle when assigned
• Arrive on time and complete each day's route professionally

Client Care

• Represent Pooptopia professionally on every property
• Treat every client's home with care and respect
• Communicate courteously if interacting with clients

Technology & Documentation

• Use a smartphone app to complete visit notes
• Document important observations
• Take required photos
• Communicate route updates when necessary

Qualifications

• High school student, high school graduate, or equivalent
• Previous customer service, outdoor work, cleaning, landscaping, or labor experience is helpful but not required

We believe character, work ethic, and communication are far more important than previous experience. We can teach our process—we can't teach someone to genuinely care about doing a great job.
