Job Description:

Our coaches will primarily meet 1:1 with students on evenings and weekends during the school year and throughout the summer to help them manage their workload, stay organized, and improve their overall executive functioning.

We strongly believe that good educators need the freedom to rely on their personal experiences and teaching methods to bring the best out of their students. Accordingly, we are looking for superlative teachers and tutors who bring strong opinions on the best ways to help students succeed in school and on standardized tests. Teachers should be able to effectively communicate with students to understand their needs and challenges and provide strategies to overcome those challenges.

Additionally, our teachers represent the outward face of the business, so instructors should expect a portion of their time to be spent communicating with parents to keep them apprised of their child’s progress.

Successful candidates will have the following:

• Training and certification in executive function coaching.
• Excellent communication skills, including an exceptional ability to build rapport with students and parents.
• A passion for working with students and helping them achieve their goals.
• Experience teaching, tutoring or coaching teenagers and providing feedback to their parents.
• Impressive academic credentials that demonstrate a love for learning and educating others.
• Commitment to superior customer service, including punctuality and fast responses to emails, texts, etc.
• Willingness to learn and apply proven techniques of Pollak Tutors.
• Impeccable attention to detail.
• Strong opinions and a desire to express them.
