POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will oversee end-to-end project management for technical initiatives that align with our clients' strategic goals. This role is ideal for a collaborative and results-driven leader who has experience managing complex technical projects, enjoys cross-functional work, and is passionate about the sports industry. You will work closely with engineering, data science, product, and client-facing teams to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions on time and within budget.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program Ownership: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of key technical programs related to sports consulting, ensuring alignment with business objectives and high-quality outcomes.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders across engineering, product, marketing, and client teams to ensure clarity on requirements, objectives, timelines, and technical constraints.
  • Technical Insight: Work with engineers and architects to understand complex technical challenges and guide project scope, solution design, and risk assessment.
  • Data & Privacy Compliance: Ensure all programs comply with relevant privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CDPA) and data security standards, particularly for customer and event data.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve workflows, documentation, and program management practices within the company to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on timelines and deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and proactive communication with both internal teams and clients, providing updates on program status, risks, and adjustments.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Establish and track KPIs to assess program progress, quality, and client satisfaction, reporting on outcomes and lessons learned to senior leadership.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience: 7+ years in program or project management, with at least 3 years in a senior technical program manager role. Prior experience in sports, entertainment, or consulting is highly desirable.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline). Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of software development, data architecture, APIs, and familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, GCP) and data management best practices.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Experience working within privacy regulations, data governance, and compliance frameworks such as GDPR and CDPA.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project).
  • Leadership: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams, with a strong ability to influence and build relationships across varying levels of an organization.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Travel: Up to 20% of travel required
