We are seeking a full-time Tenant Coordinator to join the multi-billion-dollar redevelopment project at JFK Airport. In this role, you will assist with project and property management, overseeing the delivery of retail and food & beverage spaces to a diverse group of tenants. Representing PM2 and our client, you’ll work directly with tenant brands throughout the JFK Terminal 1 Redevelopment Program.

Description

This role is pivotal in executing tenant concessions design/build projects while ensuring seamless integration with terminal operations. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of tenant-landlord interactions, property management processes, and construction project management within an airport setting. Working closely with a dedicated team, you’ll guide all aspects of tenant projects, coordinate with JFK Airport teams and systems, and manage third-party consultants through project development and operational handover. 

 

Experience at JFK or other airports is highly desired but not required. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee all phases of tenant projects, from initial planning to preconstruction and closeout, ensuring alignment with the overall redevelopment plan. 
  • Coordinate with Leasing, Design, Finance, and Operations teams to integrate tenant needs within the master development schedule. 
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the redevelopment scope to adjust tenant plans as required and align them with the project’s evolving complexities. 
  • Lead project meetings, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and uphold strict ethical and compliance standards across all projects. 
  • Drive value creation by meeting project goals and budgets, and by seeking innovative solutions to maximize tenant benefits within the development. 
  • Manage project schedules to balance flexibility with adherence to milestones, aiming to deliver on or ahead of schedule. 
  • Cultivate strong relationships with clients and internal teams, fostering a “trusted advisor” role through leadership and guidance to achieve project goals. 
  • Represent PM2 and act as a primary point of contact for tenant brands, ensuring high standards of accountability, integrity, and professionalism. 


Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in tenant coordination or project management, ideally within airport environments or large-scale mixed-use developments. 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience. 
  • Proven track record in tenant project processes, preferably in complex environments such as airports. 
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and risk mitigation with the ability to guide tenant teams through regulatory requirements. 
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. 
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills to foster trust and resolve conflicts among stakeholders. 
  • Competency in scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera) and familiarity with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and ADA codes.

Salary

$100,000 - $140,000 per year
