Swedish pick-and-mix candy store on Fillmore Street. Part-time, weekends needed.
Plock is a Swedish candy store on Fillmore Street in San Francisco. We sell pick-and-mix the way it's done in Sweden: you grab a bag and a scoop and fill it from a wall of around 140 different candies, all imported from Sweden. Sour, sweet, chocolate, licorice, and some things you've never seen before. We also carry Swedish chocolate bars, chips and snacks.
The store was started by Louise, a Swede who recently moved to San Francisco and wanted to bring the real Swedish candy experience she grew up with to the city. We opened in 2026 and care about three things above all: that the candy is always fresh, that the store always looks and feels great, and that every guest has a good time.
Plock is a new Swedish candy shop at 3101 Fillmore St. Candy wall with about 140 kinds sold by weight, plus Swedish chocolate and snacks. Small family-run store, you'd be one of the first hires.
The job
Every guest should leave happier than they came in. You greet everyone, explain how pick-and-mix works, hand out tastes, help people find favorites and make the visit fun. A lot of our customers have never tried Swedish candy, so patience and enthusiasm matter more than anything else.
Register and scale, weighing and bagging candy. Keeping the wall full, tidy and labeled. Restocking, deliveries, cleaning. Strict hygiene: clean hands, gloves and scoops, bins and surfaces wiped down, floors clean, nothing on the wall that doesn't look perfect.
