About the Role

Play and Learn Speech Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide services across home and on-site settings.


We are a small, local company looking for individuals interested in growing and providing more support to families in Shasta County.  This role includes delivering in-home early intervention services for infants and toddlers (ages 0–3) as well as 1:1 therapy sessions with clients of all ages in a clinic environment


You will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support individuals with speech, language, and communication needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP
  • Provide engaging, play-based early intervention sessions in clients’ homes
  • Deliver structured 1:1 therapy sessions for children, adolescents, and/or adults in an on-site setting
  • Adapt therapy approaches based on client age, needs, and environment
  • Educate and coach caregivers and families on strategies to support communication development
  • Document session notes, progress, and outcomes in a timely manner
  • Maintain consistent communication with supervising SLP and care team
  • Travel between client homes and on-site locations within the assigned service area


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or out-of-state associate of arts or sciences degree) from an SLPA program
  • Active SLPA license/registration (as required by state regulations)
  • Experience with pediatric populations and/or early intervention preferred; experience with diverse age groups is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance

Salary
