Plant and People Shop + Cafe is a space designed to foster community, sustainability, and wellness. As a locally owned and award-winning business, Plant and People is committed to environmental education, urban agriculture, and economic development. Our new location will offer an interactive plant shop and a café, creating a hub for connection and growth in West Philadelphia, serving joy and pride.

We seek a person with a love of coffee, creativity and wellness, looking for a position to contribute in the growth of Plant and People Cafe+Shop as a member of our community. We’re looking for someone who is:

- A passionate coffee person with integrity seeking a position with Plant and People Shop+Cafe.

- Interact with customers in a personable and service-oriented manner

- Barista experience with expresso-based beverages, brewed coffee, and a variety of high quality healthy choices

- Available to work 5-8 Mon-Fri, select events and 2 weekends a month

- Prepare and serve food items such as soups, sandwiches and pastries

- Cashier 

- Maintaining espresso machines, grinders, coffee machines and other equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting and scheduling repairs

- Cashier 

- Assist with tasks around the retail shop to ensure seamless operation

- Who is willing to learn and help in the growth of Plant and People Shop+Cafe

Please, note that the position will require 5-7 hours standing, lifting up to 50 lbs and climb ladders for some task
