Please note: This is a HIGH TRAVEL / COMMUTE role. It will often require overnight stays, typically Friday to Sunday, and extensive driving of 300+ miles including out of state and local travel 75% or more of the time.

Standard working days are but are not limited to Thursday – Monday with typical off days being Tuesday and Wednesday. Weekend work is a requirement. Specialists are provided at least 1 weekend off every other month.

Job Title: Regional Cleaning Specialist

Description:

Our Regional Cleaning Specialists travel to customer facilities to perform onsite specialty cleaning and disinfection services on a variety of equipment. Whether at a hospital, lab or research facility, our specialists play a crucial role in the proper upkeep and efficiency of the facility's critical equipment. What will you do as a PKT Regional Cleaning Specialist?

Over time mineral deposits, bioburden, hidden dust and debris accumulate and build up on surfaces of healthcare equipment. After completing our intensive 3-6 month paid on-the-job-training program, your role as a PKT Specialist will be to go out as an independent team member and perform manual and automated cleaning and disinfection services for our ever growing list of customers that are based in your hired region. The equipment you will be cleaning is focused around the perioperative environment, primarily in the Sterile Processing Department and Operating Rooms. You will clean such equipment as steam sterilizers/autoclaves, washers/disinfectors, surgical tables, stainless steel equipment and associated accessories.

As a Regional Cleaning Specialist, it will be your job to successfully perform specialty cleaning and disinfection services that involve, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate all aspects of the post schedule Customer relationship with yourself and PKT. An internal scheduling team will set all service appointments.
• Driving company provided vehicle to/from customer facility to perform manual and automated cleaning and disinfection services on requested equipment.
• Follow PKT manual or automated cleaning procedures ensuring equipment is cleaned to the level set by PKT.
• Light equipment disassembly and reassembly to ensure a thorough cleaning and disinfection process.
• Maintain and repair/replace the cleaning equipment/consumables, handle, transport, and properly dispose of cleaning chemicals.
• Perform administrative duties required to ensure effective planning and execution of your position. This includes, but is not limited to: Review daily, weekly and monthly schedules to prepare for jobs; communicate with customers prior to scheduled service, during service and post service to cultivate and maintain a positive relationship with customers.
• Maintain a working relationship with the Business Development Manager to advise of activity/changes related to sales opportunities in assigned territory.
• Maintain courteous and professional demeanor when working with customers, contractors and fellow employees.
• Other related duties as assigned.

What Experience, Skills, and Abilities will you need?

• High School Diploma or GED - Required
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow set procedures.
• Highly organized with the ability to monitor numerous projects and prioritize workloads.
• Must be willing and able to work independently under high pressure situations and at an efficient and effective pace.
• Must be willing to travel extensively and as needed. Extensive travel may and will likely include driving 300+ miles, and occasional air travel.
• Most technicians can expect travel of 75% or greater on a consistent basis.
• Flexibility and ability to pivot at short notice is critical while accommodating Customers needs and scheduling availability.
• Must be fluent in basic computer skills such as email, internet, productivity software, etc.
• Must be able to communicate with customers, clients and co-workers on various levels.
• Maintain required vaccinations
