Job Description:

Pinnacle RV is seeking a skilled RV Service Technician to join our team in Hudson Oaks, Texas. Our ideal candidates will possess a broad range of technical skills and a strong commitment to providing top-quality service. As an RV Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining recreational vehicles to ensure the satisfaction and safety of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

● Perform a variety of maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, installations, and replacements on systems found in RVs including: slide-outs, appliances, vinyl floors, cabinetry, wall panels, roof & sidewall, leveling systems, plumbing systems, electrical systems, charging systems, awnings and more

● Perform chassis maintenance and repairs on axles, leaf springs, brakes and wheel bearings

● Install weight distribution hitches, receivers, and fifth wheel hitches

● Install brake controllers and charge line wiring

● Perform general reconditioning on used campers

● Perform warranty repairs in compliance with manufacturer’s specifications

● Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections on new and used campers to ensure proper functioning of all systems found in an RV

Safety and Compliance

● Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing repairs and maintenance.

● Maintain a clean and organized workspace to prevent accidents and ensure efficiency.

● Dispose of hazardous materials according to environmental and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

● 1+ years experience as a service technician in the RV industry

● Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team

● Ability to diagnose and trouble-shoot a variety of systems found in RVs

● Must be physically capable of performing the duties in positions including bending, squatting, kneeling, stretching, and lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to lift 50-100 pounds on an infrequent basis

● Must have have knowledge and trouble-shooting skills of 120V and 12V electrical systems

● Must supply own hand and small power tools. Large shop tools will be provided

● Must possess the ability to read and interpret service requests on repair orders, describe and document in detail, the cause, recommended correction, and a detailed description repairs performed

● Must possess ability to read and interpret parts diagrams, service manuals, and schematics

● Must possess excellent communication skills with co-workers and customers

● Perform work safely, efficiently, and with high quality in accordance with company and industry standards

● Ability to operate mobile devices including smartphones and tablets

● Attends all meetings, trainings, and educational classes, as required

● A desire to work in a performance-based environment.

● Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, repair equipment, and software applications.

● Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

● RV technician certification with RVIA, RVTI, NRVTA, or similar institution preferred but not required

● Category I Propane Certification preferred but not required

● High school diploma or equivalent required.

Work Environment:

The RV Service Technician will work in a busy service department at our dealership in Hudson Oaks, Texas. This role requires a combination of indoor and outdoor work, with the need to handle various weather conditions. The position may involve occasional weekend or evening hours to meet customer needs and service department demands.
