Overview
The ideal candidate must have experience in a professional kitchen environment making sandwiches, prepping food and using commercial cooking equipment. You must be able to work clean, and in an organized manner, and be on time for scheduled shifts. This position will work in an open kitchen most of the day, cooking and prepping in front of customers. Consistency, cleanliness of work and appropriate food safety behavior are of the upmost importance. The position will work a minimum of 30 hours per week, up to 40 hours per week may be available during peak production times.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include sandwich assembly, slicing meat and cheese using a manual deli slicer, organizing your station, heating sandwiches and breakfast items, slicing cakes and pies, vegetable, fruit and meat prep work, weighing ingredients and following recipes, washing dishes, and general cleaning.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bakery or restaurant/cafe kitchen setting is a must.
- Familiarity with culinary tools and equipment including knives, ovens, meat slicer, ingredient scales.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency,
- Excellent time management skills to meet production schedules.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, be organized and proactive, and have the ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and have reliable transportation to Kingston, NY.
Must speak and read English.
