Pilot Project Brewing is seeking an experienced and motivated Midwest Regional Sales Manager to drive sales and brand growth for our brewery within the Midwest market. This individual will be responsible for managing local field sales representatives, distributor relationships, developing key on- and off-premise accounts, and executing sales strategies to meet business objectives. The ideal candidate has a passion for craft beer, strong sales experience, and a track record of growing market share within the beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Business Development: Drive sales growth within the Midwest region by developing new accounts and expanding existing ones. Identify opportunities to increase brand presence and market share.
  • Distributor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for distributors in the Midwest ensuring alignment on sales goals, promotional activities, and inventory levels. Conduct regular market visits and business reviews.
  • Account Management: Develop strong relationships with key on-premise (bars, restaurants) and off-premise (retailers, liquor stores, grocery) accounts. Provide support through staff training, tastings, and promotional events.
  • Market Execution: Implement sales and marketing strategies, ensuring consistent brand representation and effective execution of pricing, promotions, and merchandising initiatives.
  • Event Representation: Participate in industry events, beer festivals, and tap takeovers to strengthen brand visibility and consumer engagement.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Track sales performance, analyze market trends, and provide regular updates to the leadership team. Utilize sales data to make strategic recommendations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing and production teams to ensure alignment on product launches, advertising efforts, and supply chain needs.
  • Travel: Regular travel within the Midwest region to visit distributors, retailers, and events.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3-5 years of sales experience in the craft beer, beverage, or alcohol industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the Midwest market and its craft beer landscape.
  • Proven success in distributor and account management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently while staying aligned with company goals.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
