LVN Position Available in Residential Skilled Setting
Applicants who have a license to practice as a Vocational Nurse issued by a State Government Board of Vocational Nursing;
One year of experience (preference in the acute or skilled setting);
Experience or knowledge with: adult tracheostomy and g-tube care; suctioning, changing trach cannula and ties; g-tube feedings with medication administration via gravity and or pump; ventilators; oxygen concentrators; and administrating medications.
Perform all skill, treatments, and procedures to the scope of practice as defined in the Nurse Practice Act and adherer to the policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency and facility;
Implement plan of care and treatment using sound judgment and critical thinking;
Observe, report, and record adverse reactions to medications and/or treatment to the registered nurse and/or physician;
Perform and assist with wound care and daily living needs;
Analyze and institute emergency measures in a rapid and appropriate manner;
Prepare, administer, and document the actions taken specific to the commonly prescribed oral, topical, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications.
Maintain documentation and charting in legible and proper manner;
Promptly answers call lights, alarms, and patient requests.
