You must be able to handle working with several different databases of information. You must be competent and proficient in the use of WordPerfect (and/or Word), Outlook, and office equipment like copiers and scanners, at a minimum. If you are familiar with legal case management software, that is a plus. We are fully invested in policies, procedures, and systems. But at times, you will also need to know how to figure things out on your own and be able to creatively solve problems and come up with solutions. We want someone who knows how to play on a team. Job responsibilities:

- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including drafting and editing legal documents, organizing case files, and managing calendars

- Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda and summaries

- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and coordinating witness schedules

- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and uphold attorney-client privilege

- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines

- Perform general office duties, such as answering phones, greeting visitors, and handling mail

Job qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent, with some post-secondary education preferred

- Minimum of three years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant supporting attorneys

- Completion of a paralegal program or equivalent work experience

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Proficient in legal research and document management software

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds from floor to overhead

- Must have driving insurance coverage

- Must adhere to a business attire dress code.


$22 - $23 per hour
