You must be able to handle working with several different databases of information. You must be competent and proficient in the use of WordPerfect (and/or Word), Outlook, and office equipment like copiers and scanners, at a minimum. If you are familiar with legal case management software, that is a plus. We are fully invested in policies, procedures, and systems. Job responsibilities:

- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including drafting and editing legal documents, organizing case files, and managing calendars

- Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda and summaries

- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and coordinating witness schedules

- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and uphold attorney-client privilege

- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel

- Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines

- Perform general office duties, such as answering phones, greeting visitors, and handling mail


Job qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent, with some post-secondary education preferred

- Minimum of three years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant supporting attorneys

- Completion of a paralegal program or equivalent work experience

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

- Proficient in legal research and document management software

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds from floor to overhead

- Must have driving insurance coverage

- Must adhere to a business attire dress code.

Salary

$22 - $23 per hour
