Do you want to help clients plan for the second half of their lives? We are a law firm in Vancouver, WA, with three (3) attorneys and a dedicated team of support staff. We are an estate planning and elder law firm. It’s what we do, and we do it well. We are looking for an Associate who can hit the ground running: take ownership of their work and drive cases forward, from beginning to end. We are especially looking for candidates who have experience in the area of trust administration and probate, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Compensation begins at $60,000 per year and will be based upon experience. Description

Job responsibilities:

- Support the partners by handling assigned casework under supervision

- Educate and inform prospective clients about our services

- Conduct meetings with clients to assess their needs and goals

- Develop personalized estate plans for clients

- Manage probate and guardianship cases

- Assist with the preparation and submission of Medicaid applications


Job qualifications:

- Possess a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school

- Hold a valid and active license to practice law in Oregon or Washington

- Have at least three years of experience practicing law

- Experience in trust administration and probate is advantageous

- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential

- Proficient in research and able to conduct legal research effectively

- Must have a valid driver's license and appropriate driving insurance coverage

- Capable of lifting objects weighing up to 25 pounds from the floor to overhead

Salary

$60,000 - $70,000 per year
