Type: Part-Time or Full-Time

Pay: $12–$14/hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Must be available weekends; shifts may start as early as 7:00 AM and end as late as 7:00 PM

Position Summary:

The Veterinary & Kennel Receptionist is the first point of contact for our clients and plays a key role in creating a positive experience for pet owners and their pets. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable with technology, and excels at following protocols in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet clients and check in patients for veterinary appointments and boarding
• Answer phones, return messages, and schedule appointments accurately
• Process payments, update medical records, and manage client accounts
• Follow clinic and kennel protocols precisely, including intake procedures and documentation
• Coordinate with medical and kennel staff to ensure smooth daily operations
• Maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming front desk area
• Handle sensitive client and patient information with discretion and accuracy

Requirements:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed procedures
• Highly computer savvy; able to quickly learn veterinary software and digital workflows
• Able to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
• Dependable and punctual, with availability on weekends
• Able to work shifts starting as early as 7:00 AM and ending as late as 7:00 PM
• Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is a plus, but not required
