Reservation specialist
Job Title: Front Desk Clerk Department: Reports to: Director Of Guest Services
Position Prerequisites:
1. Previous front desk experience preferred.
2. Basic computer knowledge
3. Ability to work with guest in all areas with a positive approach.
4. Ability to concentrate on detail and follow-up work while maintaining a high standard of guest satisfaction.
5. Ability to work as a team.
6. Ability to work with cash.
7. Must be 18 years or older.
Purpose:
Conduct tasks associated with motel, houseboat/small boat check-in and contracting, and ensure quality customer service.
Major Duties:
1. Process motel, houseboat/small boat check-in/check-out.
2. Confirm reservations and take deposit information.
3. Ability to answer phone, emails, and web inquiries in a timely manner.
4. Verify houseboat and small boat rates. Process contracts.
5. Communicate to crew arrival of houseboat and small boat customer.
6. Answer inquiries and explain folio charges based on ending balance.
7. Cash/credit handling.
8. Posting accounts including cash or credit accounts.
9. Post charges to accounts from other departments.
10. Check folio before entering charges to prevent duplicate posting.
11. Check hard copies, front and back for extra charge, i.e., linen packs, late charges, damage charges, and cleaning charges.
12. Understand phone/ marine radio operations.
13. Run daily reports, i.e., occupancy, guest ledger, houseboat contracts, departures.
14. Perform clerical duties as required, including filing, typing and calculation.
$16.9 - $18 per hour
