The Marketing Intern plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day function of Pillar & Peacock’s Marketing team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and a willingness to jump in wherever needed. Description

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate photoshoots with the Marketing team, including scheduling, and logistics.
  • Attend weekly Marketing meetings, record notes, track action items, and monitor follow-up.
  • Develop and maintain the firm’s Business Development Resource Library by researching conferences, networking events, industry organizations, awards, speaking opportunities, and professional development resources, ensuring information is organized and accessible.
  • Research emerging markets, industries, and business development opportunities to support the firm’s strategic growth.
  • Prepare and manage marketing packages for prospective clients.
  • Partner with the Richmond Studio Assistant to support marketing initiatives across the firm’s Virginia offices.
  • Research and coordinate branded promotional products and marketing merchandise.
  • Monitor industry trends and support special marketing and business development projects as assigned.
  • Assist with the firm’s social media efforts by capturing office and project content, drafting copy, scheduling posts, and supporting content planning across social platforms when needed.


 Qualifications & Skills

  • Currently enrolled in school for Marketing, Communications or a business-related field
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented, creative, and eager to problem solve
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for occasional travel between offices and project sites

 

Working Conditions

  • 25 hours per week
  • In Florence Studio
  • Requires comfort working both independently and collaboratively with teams across multiple locations

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to occasionally stand, walk, bend, and reach as needed to review materials, samples, or perform site visits.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds (e.g., material boards, sample boxes, or presentation materials).
  • Must be able to clearly communicate with clients, team members, and vendors in both in-person and virtual settings.

$15 - $15 per hour
