POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with 5 or more years of clinical experience to join our physician-led medical practice. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in acute in-office care with specialized experience in geriatric patient populations. This role requires a confident clinical practitioner who can independently perform comprehensive patient assessments, execute a broad range of clinical procedures, and serve as a vital communication bridge between patients and the physician team.

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Assessment & Clinical Evaluation
- Perform comprehensive medical assessments and clinical evaluations of patients presenting for in-office or urgent/acute care visits
- Formulate differential diagnoses and communicate clinical findings clearly and completely to the supervising physician
- Administer and score depression screening tools (PHQ-9) and cognitive assessments (SLUMS, MoCA, or equivalent) to support mental health and geriatric evaluations
- Conduct walking oximetry tests to assess exertional hypoxemia and report results to the physician for clinical decision-making
Procedures & Treatments
- Administer intravenous (IV), intramuscular (IM), and subcutaneous (SQ) medications safely and accurately per physician orders
- Perform IV insertion, maintenance, and port access with flush protocol per established clinical standards
- Conduct 12-lead electrocardiograms (ECG/EKG) and communicate findings to the physician promptly
- Administer nebulizing treatments including device setup, patient education, and monitoring throughout the procedure
- Perform minor in-office procedures including wound care and dressing changes, suture and staple removal, and Unna boot application
- Assist the physician with additional in-office procedures as directed, including preparation, instrumentation, and post-procedure care
Patient Communication & Triage
- Triage patient phone calls with clinical proficiency, gathering pertinent information and assessing urgency to determine appropriate next steps
- Provide the physician with a thorough and organized clinical summary of each patient's presenting condition, history, and relevant findings
- Communicate with patients and caregivers with compassion, clarity, and cultural sensitivity — with particular attentiveness to the needs and communication styles of geriatric patients
- Utilize the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system to document clinical assessments, update patient charts, enter orders, and manage patient communications
- Coordinate with front desk and administrative staff to manage patient flow, prioritize urgent cases, and support smooth clinic operations
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and all patient privacy and confidentiality standards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida (FL)
- Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with demonstrated experience in acute care and/or in-office clinical settings
- Specialized experience or training in geriatric patient populations
- Competency in IV insertion and administration, port access and flush, IM and SQ injections
- Proficiency performing 12-lead ECGs
- Experience administering nebulizing treatments and conducting walking oximetry assessments
- Ability to perform minor in-office procedures: wound care, suture/staple removal, Unna boot application
- Experience administering and interpreting depression (PHQ-9) and cognitive (SLUMS or equivalent) screening assessments
- Strong clinical assessment and differential diagnosis communication skills
- Proficiency with at least one EMR platform (e.g., Epic, Athena, eClinicalWorks, or similar)
- Excellent telephone triage skills with ability to convey organized, clinically relevant patient summaries to the physician
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Background in internal medicine, primary care, or family medicine office settings
- Current BLS/ACLS certification
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities strongly preferred
- Experience with chronic disease management and value-based care programs
- Certification in gerontological nursing (RN-BC) or equivalent specialty training

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is an in-person, patient-facing clinical role in a medical office setting. The position involves frequent direct patient care, extended periods of standing and moving throughout the clinic, and regular collaboration with the physician and administrative team. The RN is expected to maintain composure, clinical precision, and a compassionate presence even during high-acuity or high-volume periods. A strong sense of teamwork and a genuine commitment to patient well-being are essential to success in this role.
