About the Role

The Senior Pet Care Specialist is the gold standard on our team. Senior PCS team members are expert service providers, primary trainers and mentors for all new hires, and the people we trust with our most complex client assignments. This is not a seniority-based bump — it is a performance-based promotion that requires demonstrated excellence in the field, strong character, and a genuine ability to teach.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver PAM's full range of pet care services at the highest standard
  • Serve as the primary field trainer and mentor for all new PCT hires
  • Handle complex, high-needs, and behaviorally challenging clients and pets
  • Act as a trusted resource for PCT questions in the field
  • Support scheduling and routing as it relates to training assignments
  • Complete training documentation and submit readiness feedback to leadership

  • Pay increase to $16.50–$17.50/hour based on experience and performance
  • Title change to Senior Pet Care Specialist
  • Expanded shift and hours eligibility, including training-specific assignments

Who Should Apply

You are a strong candidate if you have been a PCT at PAM for 9 or more months and are currently in good standing, have a track record of consistent high-quality service and reliability, hold yourself to PAM's standards even when no one is watching, genuinely enjoy teaching and helping others grow, and hold current Pet CPR & First Aid and pet care certifications along with a valid Michigan driver's license and auto insurance.

The Process

This is a three-step internal promotion process: digital application, panel interview with the General Manager and Operations Manager, and a practical field demonstration. All three steps are required. The General Manager makes the final decision. Applicants who are not selected may reapply after 90 days.
