Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct consultations with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and the specific needs of their pets.
- Safely handle and calm pets to minimize stress during grooming.
- Wash, rinse, and dry pets using specialized grooming shampoos and conditioners.
- Trim, cut, or shave fur according to breed-specific standards or owner's requests.
- Clean and maintain ears, clip nails, and attend to other basic health care routines.
- Inspect pets for signs of skin conditions, and parasites. or other health issues and inform pet owners.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment, ensuring all tools are properly sterilized.
- Capable with online booking and computer skills.
- Stay updated with the latest grooming techniques, styles, and trends.
- Ensure safe handling and restraint practices, minimizing the risk of injury to both the pet and groomer.
Qualifications:
- Experience in professional pet grooming or relevant certification from a recognized institution and will do 6 pets per day at minimum.
- Strong knowledge of various breed grooming standards.
- Ability to handle pets gently and with patience.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners.
- Familiarity with different grooming tools and their proper usage.
- Basic understanding of pet health and wellness.
- Creative Color Experience is a bonus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Physical stamina to handle large or energetic pets.
- Good hand-eye coordination for detailed grooming tasks.

- Attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially when dealing with challenging pets or situations.
- Adaptability to handle different breeds and temperaments.
This role often requires building trust with both pets and their owners, ensuring repeat business and referrals. it is both an art and science, blending aesthetic appeal with the practicality of maintaining pet health.
Pay is 44% commission for groomers with 2+ years of experience and 35% for those who have less. We offer Aflac, earned PTO, and continuing education.
