P2SL works to provide workforce development, job training, career coaching, and related support services for individuals from underserved communities, including individuals facing barriers to employment . We prepare participants for careers in the medical supply chain management and related industries, including inventory management, procurement, distribution, logistics, and other lawful and related fields. Our goal is to lead trainees to gainful employment.

Work with Pathways To Skilled Labor at client medical supply facilities. The Shift Lead performs following tasks:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Use inventory management system to issue supplies to various departments and generate inventory stocking reports. Perform functions such as data entry, order creation, warehouse cycle counts and stock rotation. Locate stock and deliver requested items to patient areas.

·        Utilize handheld technology to process and deliver all inbound shipments accurately and according to standard work. Pick up and stage all outbound shipments for return.

·       Attend daily MDI (Manage for Daily Improvement) huddles to discuss work area, metrics, and schedules. Attendance is mandatory for all MDI huddles. The Lead should ensure the daily huddle process takes place in the absence of the supervisor.

·        Answer the phones in assigned areas to assist customers with a positive tone. Demonstrate a customer centric approach and a willingness to assist. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·       High School Diploma

·       Experience with hospital/surgical supplies

·       Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

·       Proven ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing.

·       Proficient in Microsoft Product Suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint etc.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Lifting 20-pound objects constantly; 50-pound objects frequently; and 100-pound objects occasionally is required
