About the Role

Paterson Pediatric Therapy is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Special Education Teacher to support K–12 students. This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about individualized instruction, thrive in collaborative environments, and are looking for a consistent, school-based schedule with competitive compensation.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide specialized instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals
  • Manage a caseload of students with diverse learning needs
  • Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with district and state guidelines
  • Collect data and monitor student progress
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal development
  • Create a structured, supportive classroom environment
  • Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and behavior supports


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Valid Georgia Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
  • Experience working with students with disabilities
  • Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills


Preferred:

  • Experience in public school settings
  • Familiarity with IEP platforms and compliance requirements
  • Ability to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently
