About the Role
Paterson Pediatric Therapy is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Special Education Teacher to support K–12 students. This role is ideal for educators who are passionate about individualized instruction, thrive in collaborative environments, and are looking for a consistent, school-based schedule with competitive compensation.
What You’ll Do
- Provide specialized instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals
- Manage a caseload of students with diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Collect data and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal development
- Create a structured, supportive classroom environment
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and behavior supports
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Valid Georgia Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility)
- Experience working with students with disabilities
- Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills
Preferred:
- Experience in public school settings
- Familiarity with IEP platforms and compliance requirements
- Ability to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently
