About the Role

Paterson Pediatric Therapy is seeking a dependable, student-centered Communication Paraprofessional to support virtual Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in delivering services to students attending school in-person. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in education, are confident managing small groups of students, and are looking to make a meaningful impact every day.

What You’ll Do

• Support students during virtual speech therapy sessions conducted by certified SLPs
• Facilitate communication between students and the supervising SLP
• Help students join online sessions, navigate technology, and stay engaged
• Manage small student groups (typically 2–5 students)
• Provide behavior support and positive reinforcement
• Follow session prompts, activities, and behavior guidelines provided by the SLP
• Assist with simple organizational tasks such as scheduling, transitions, and session preparation
• Maintain a safe, positive, and structured environment for all students

Qualifications

Required:

• 60+ college credits with a 2.5 GPA, GA Paraprofessional Certification, or a passing score on the ParaPro exam (or willingness to take the exam).
• Experience working with children (school, childcare, camp, or similar)
• Comfort with basic technology (Zoom/Teams, Chromebooks/iPads, digital logins)
• Strong communication, organization, and reliability
• Ability to pass a background check
