Parrish Construction Inc. (PCI) is a two-owner design-build remodeling company in Carmichael, California, serving the Greater Sacramento area. We do high-end kitchens, bathrooms, fireplaces, and finish carpentry for homeowners across Sacramento, Roseville, Folsom, Carmichael, Land Park, and surrounding neighborhoods. About the Role

We're hiring a journeyman carpenter who can own skilled scope in occupied homes — not a helper, not a lead (yet): a carpenter we can hand a task to and trust the result. The role is hands-on across the full project lifecycle — selective demolition through final punch list — working alongside our founder on active kitchen, bath, fireplace, and finish carpentry projects.

What you'll do

• Run remodel scope semi-independently: demo through framing, drywall, backer, door/window sets, trim and finish carpentry
• Work in occupied homes — protection, cleanliness, and client courtesy are non-negotiable
• Log daily progress in our project management system (JobTread)
• Occasional multi-day travel jobs (paid drive time, mileage, lodging, per diem)

What we need to see

• 5+ years of residential remodel carpentry (not just new construction)
• Framing, drywall, and door-setting you can demonstrate — our hiring process includes a paid, half-day hands-on skills assessment, and we mean it
• Own hand tools, reliable transportation, valid driver's license
• Comfortable being the only PCI carpenter on site

How we hire:

short phone screen → in-person interview → paid half-day working assessment on a real task → references → offer. The assessment is paid at the posted rate whether or not we move forward.
