Parkview Counseling is a licensed mental health and therapy practice in Wyoming, Michigan, serving greater Grand Rapids and West Michigan. The practice provides individual therapy, couples and marriage counseling, family therapy, addiction and recovery support, and first responder mental health care. Sessions are offered in person at the Wyoming, MI office and via telehealth for clients across Michigan. Clinicians treat anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, ADHD, addiction, men's issues, women's issues, burnout, job stress, and compassion fatigue, adults with childhood trauma, life transitions, relationship distress, and grief, with faith-informed care for clients who request it. Evidence-based modalities used at Parkview include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), experiential therapy, and motivational interviewing. Services are available in English and Spanish.

Lead Therapist (W-2) – Parkview Counseling

Location: Wyoming, MI (Parkview location near Palmer Park)

Position Type: Full-Time, W-2

Salary: $80,000 – $85,000


Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a warm, fully licensed Michigan clinician (LPC, LMFT, or LMSW) with 5–10+ years of post-licensure experience. The ideal candidate brings a solid faith-integrated clinical approach, demonstrated mentoring experience, and a genuine passion for both providing excellent therapy and helping grow a small, high-quality group practice. This role is perfect for a relationally oriented clinician who is ready to reduce back-to-back clinical hours and invest more time in mentoring and leadership.


About the Practice

Parkview Counseling is a growing outpatient mental health group practice located in a beautiful, park-adjacent office suite in Wyoming, MI. We offer high-quality therapy services to individuals, couples, families, and groups, with specialties including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, faith-integrated counseling, addiction, and first responders.


We currently have seven window offices with natural light and relaxing views, a dedicated conference room, and two additional interior offices. Our goal is to grow responsibly to 7 full-time (or equivalent) therapists. As Lead Therapist, you will occupy one of our premier large window offices. We maintain a professionally minded, non-corporate environment with full administrative support so clinicians can focus on excellent clinical work.


Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Caseload: Carry a consistent, sustainable caseload (target of approximately 20 sessions per week).
  • Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership through peer consultations, mentoring, and onboarding (leadership duties ≈ 8–10 hours per week).
  • Team Development: Assist with interviewing, vetting, and developing new therapists.
  • Practice Growth: Support practice growth through occasional groups, workshops, and team initiatives using our dedicated conference space.
  • Culture Advocate: Help foster a positive, collaborative, faith-informed team culture.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $80,000 – $85,000
  • Time Off: 120 hours PTO (3 weeks) + 6 paid holidays.

Requirements

  • Fully licensed in Michigan as an LPC, LMSW, or LMFT (we cannot consider limited-licensed clinicians for this leadership role).
  • 5+ years of post-licensure clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated passion for mentoring and collaborative team work.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
