Maintenance Technician in Mobile Home Community

Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team at a large mobile home community. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in all aspects of property maintenance, with specialized knowledge in private sewer treatment systems and domestic well-water distribution systems. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the community remains safe, functional, and well-maintained for all residents. 

Key Responsibilities: 


  • Operate, monitor, maintain, and repair private sewer treatment facilities and well-water distribution systems. 
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. 
  • Respond to and resolve maintenance requests and emergency calls in a timely and professional manner. 
  • Perform general repairs, including but not limited to: HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, appliance repair, and groundskeeping. 
  • Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports of maintenance activities and system performance. 
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to water quality, sanitation, and safety. 
  • Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and local authorities when necessary. 
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of maintenance shops and storage areas. 
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents while respecting their homes and privacy. 
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed. 

Qualifications: 


  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a mobile home community, multi-family, or similar setting. 
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with sewer treatment operations and well-water systems is required. 
  • Working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. 
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening. 
  • Certification or licensing in relevant trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, water treatment) is a plus. 

Physical Requirements: 


  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks. 
  • Work in a variety of conditions including heat, cold, and inclement weather. 
  • Ability to be on-call and respond quickly to emergencies.
