Parity Wellness is seeking a qualified Clinical Supervisor to lead and support our outpatient substance use disorder treatment team. This role is ideal for a proven leader who understands Minnesota DHS 245G and ASAM requirements, can hold clinical staff accountable, and can provide consistent supervision, documentation review, coaching, and compliance oversight. The Clinical Supervisor reports to the Program Director and serves as part of the Leadership Team. The Clinical Supervisor serves as the acting operational and clinical leader of the program in the absence of the Program Director.

About the Role

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for supervising LADCs, ADC-T counselors, interns, and other assigned clinical staff. This includes weekly supervision, timely documentation review and co-signing, compliance monitoring, staff coaching, and support of daily clinical operations.

The ideal candidate is organized, self-directed, client-centered, trauma-informed, and able to balance accountability with empathy.

Manage the full lifecycle of staff transitions, including employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding. 

Must-Haves

Qualified candidates must:

  • Have a valid, unrestricted MN license and meet the appropriate credentials to serve as a supervisor under Minnesota DHS 245G requirements.
  • Understand DHS 245G rules, statutes, documentation standards, and ASAM criteria.
  • Be a self-starter who needs minimal direction from the Program Director.
  • Attend leadership, compliance, statute update, supervision, and staff meetings as assigned.
  • Be organized and able to troubleshoot daily clinical, documentation, staffing, and client care concerns.
  • Be an exemplary leader with clients, supervisees, peers, and leadership.
  • Be empathetic, patient, and able to teach staff through supervision and feedback.
  • Share ideas for company growth, quality improvement, and staff development.
  • Effectively manage the daily milieu while ensuring client and staff safety. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly clinical supervision and document supervision accurately.
  • Review, correct, and co-sign clinical documentation.
  • Monitor compliance with DHS 245G, ASAM, HIPAA, payer expectations, and Parity Wellness policies.
  • Coach supervisees on assessments, treatment plans, group facilitation, documentation, ethics, and client care.
  • Identify documentation or compliance concerns and support corrective action.
  • Participate in leadership, compliance, quality assurance, and staff development activities.
  • Assist with daily clinical problem-solving and program operations.
  • Support a trauma-informed, client-centered, professional treatment environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a Minnesota DHS 245G outpatient or IOP program.
  • Previous experience as a Clinical Supervisor, Lead Counselor, Treatment Director, or similar role.
  • Experience supervising ADC-T counselors, interns, or developing clinicians.
  • Strong documentation, organization, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Procentive or Ritten preferred, or a strong track record of quickly learning new EHR software. 

Work Setting

Parity Wellness provides outpatient and intensive outpatient substance use disorder treatment in Minnesota. Services may include assessments, group counseling, individual counseling, peer recovery support, treatment planning, urine drug screens, referrals, and treatment coordination.

This role may include in-person and remote/virtual responsibilities depending on program needs and Parity Wellness policies.

$82,000 - $95,000 per year
